Support for Carers Group - Charnwood

Support for Carers Leicestershire offers monthly Carers Support Groups for anyone caring for an adult (18+) living in Leicestershire.

Our groups are relaxed, informal, and welcoming. They provide a safe space for carers to share experiences, connect with others, and access practical advice. Guest speakers are often invited to share useful information and resources.

  • Face-to-face groups: Held monthly in Blaby, North-West Leicestershire, Melton, Hinckley & Bosworth, Oadby & Wigston, Charnwood, and Harborough. Each group meets at a local venue for 90 minutes.
  • Online support groups: We run two Zoom groups per month: "A Cuppa with Kerry" (third Friday, 2pm) and an evening group for working-age carers (second Tuesday, 7pm). Online groups last 60 minutes and are staffed by our Carers Wellbeing Officers.

All groups are free to attend. Some carers choose to donate £1 towards refreshments and room hire at face-to-face groups, but this is entirely optional. Most groups also run a small raffle.

Who can attend? Our groups are just for carers, so you can speak openly and honestly about your caring role. The person you care for does not attend.

How to join: Simply come along to your local group or join us online. For details of upcoming sessions, check our social media or call us on 01858 468543.

Benefits of attending:

  • Meet other carers and share experiences
  • Access practical advice and information
  • Enjoy guest speakers and activities
  • Take a break and focus on your own wellbeing

We look forward to welcoming you!
