The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme is a free, 12-week online programme designed to help adults living with obesity who also have diabetes, high blood pressure, or both. The programme is easily accessible via smartphone, tablet, or computer, making it convenient to fit into your daily life.
How to access: To start your journey, speak to your GP or local pharmacist, who can refer you to the programme. Please note that GP and pharmacy teams may be busy, so allow time for your referral.
Eligibility:
- You must be aged 18 or over.
- You must have a BMI greater than 30 (or 27.5 for people from black, Asian, and ethnic minority backgrounds).
- You must have diabetes, high blood pressure, or both.
- You need access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet.
If you do not have diabetes or high blood pressure, you may still benefit from the NHS Better Health programme.
What to expect: Once enrolled, you will receive support and guidance over 12 weeks to help you make positive changes to your lifestyle. The programme includes educational resources, practical advice, and digital tools to help you manage your weight and improve your health.
