Household Support Fund - Torbay GOV

The Household Support Fund is here to help Torbay residents facing financial hardship with essential costs like food, fuel, and water.

This scheme is designed to support households most in need, especially those on certain benefits or with dependent children, and those receiving Personal Independence Payments (PIP) or Attendance Allowance.

  • £100 payment for fuel, water, and food: If you receive Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, or Pension Credit and have dependent children or receive PIP/Attendance Allowance, you can apply for a one-off £100 payment. Only one claim is allowed per household from April 2025 to March 2026.
  • Supermarket vouchers: Available for families with children living in Paignton and Brixham. Collect from Family Hubs at The Barn (Brixham) or The Beehive (Paignton) during set hours (Mon-Fri, 9:30-11:30am & 2-4pm). Supplies for Torquay residents are currently unavailable.
  • Foodbanks and Social Supermarkets: Support is provided via the Torbay Food Alliance and six local social supermarkets.
  • Debt and Advice Services: Financial support and advice are available for those struggling with bills or debt.
  • Help for individuals in financial hardship: Accessed through partner agencies.
