Havering Energy Doctors offers a free Home Energy Check for Havering residents aged 18 and over. An energy expert from Age UK East London visits the home to assess energy efficiency, identify simple improvements, and provide practical advice to help keep the home warmer and more affordable to heat. The service is not means-tested and is available to all Havering residents. During the visit, the Energy Doctor can carry out small efficiency tasks (e.g., draft-proofing doors/windows, installing radiator foil, replacing energy-saving bulbs) and provide personalised tips to reduce energy usage and bills. Access is via referral: residents can complete the Havering Energy Doctors referral form (the page you’re viewing), or professionals such as GPs or social workers can refer clients. The service is delivered in partnership with Age UK East London and Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering.
