HASWA Activities

HASWA offers a broad programme of community activities in the Havering area, providing opportunities to stay active, socialise and access information and support. The activities include a Drop-in Session (Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm) offering social and welfare advice and language support; regular fitness and wellbeing classes such as Yoga (Monday and Wednesday, 10:00–11:30am; £5 per member, £6 non-members), Chair Yoga (11:45–12:45pm); Sing & Smile at HASWA – Goldies UK (Monday, 1–2pm; free); Tai Chi (Thursday, 11:15am–12:15pm); Children Bollywood/Bhangra Class (Tuesday, 4:30–6pm; £5.50 per class); Sahara Carers’ Group (Tuesday, 1–2:30pm; free) for carers; Afternoon Tea (Tuesday, 2:30–4pm; first Tuesday monthly); Zumba (Tuesday, 7:15–8:15pm); Lunch Club (Wednesday, 12–3pm; £7) providing a social meal and health talks; Sing & Smile (Goldies Bollywood) (Wednesday, 2–3pm; free); Fitness Fusion (Thursday, 10:00–11:00am; £5 member, £6 non-member); Punjabi Class (Thursday, 6–7:30pm; £21 yearly admission, subsequent lessons free); HASWA Chit & Chat (Friday, 10–12pm; £1.50); The South Elm Park Women’s Club (Friday, 1:30–4pm) for older women. Sessions are held at HASWA venues in Hornchurch and nearby areas; some activities require booking or place confirmation.
