**Telecare Service Description**
Telecare offers a personalized alarm system designed to provide remote care, supporting individuals to maintain safety and independence in their own homes. Our service ensures reassurance for both users and their caregivers.
**Who is Telecare for?**
Our basic telecare package includes a personal alarm that allows immediate access to support if you feel unwell. It is suitable for:
- Individuals recently discharged from the hospital
- Those with disabilities
- People at risk of falls or who have experienced falls
- Individuals without local family or support networks
- Those with memory loss or dementia
- Victims of bogus callers, domestic abuse, or hate crime
**How Telecare Works**
The telecare equipment connects to a telephone-based alarm unit. When the personal alarm is pressed or a sensor is triggered, our specialized control center, Newham Network Telecare Services, is notified, allowing our operatives to communicate directly with you. We will respond appropriately by:
- Contacting emergency services
- Reaching out to a key holder
- Dispatching a visit to your location
Our emergency response service operates 24/7, ensuring help is always available.
**Cost of Telecare**
Our telecare service is available from just £2.44 per week, which includes:
- Telecare equipment (alarm phone and personal alarm triggers)
- Installation of the equipment
- Ongoing maintenance
- 24-hour monitoring service
- A visiting service for residents of Newham and Waltham Forest
Additional sensors are available for an extra fee to tailor the service to your needs.
