If so, we at Nutrition Kitchen would like you to join our:

Train the Trainer Programme - Professional's Edition

We at Nutrition Kitchen are dedicated in educating all employers of Newham about the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle. In order to achieve this goal, Newham Council has funded this training programme to train established key members of the community to help spread the facts about what true health means. In this programme you will learn to deliver hands-on cooking sessions for the residents you work with that fit the criteria above.

This 3-day training course will consist of:

  • Completion of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification
  • Full Enhanced DBS Check
  • Hands-on training with our professional cooking instructor - showing you the tips and trick on how to teach a healthy cooking class

Note: To be a successful completer of this programme, the participant must be able to pass the Level 2 Food Hygiene test by the second test. If unsuccessful then the participant will still be able to train but will not receive any qualifications or DBS Check. Participant still can volunteer for NK but will not be able to teach/ prepare/ serve food for other members.

What is required to enter this training programme:

  • To be an established worker/professional that works alongside one of these key priority groups
  • To commit to a minimum of 2 set sessions of volunteering for Nutrition Kitchen
  • To organise a minimum of 2 cooking session that focuses on the priority groups above - Equipment and ingredients will covered by Nutrition Kitchen.

Note: In order for this training to be considered as completed by Nutrition Kitchen and London Borough of Newham Council, you will need to organise the cooking sessions. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of DBS and Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification.
