Herts Careline provides a trusted community alarm and telecare service, offering reassurance and practical help to residents across Hertfordshire since 1982.
Our service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at the press of a button, helping you and your loved ones stay independent and safe in your own home. As a not-for-profit service run by North Herts Council, we support a wide range of people, including:
- Older adults
- People with disabilities or restricted mobility
- Individuals with long-term health needs
- Vulnerable adults
- Those affected by domestic violence or repeat burglary
How it works:
- A digital alarm unit connects you directly to Herts Careline's 24/7 Control Centre in Hertfordshire.
- The system includes a base alarm unit and a pendant (worn around your neck or wrist).
- Pressing the pendant button alerts our team, who quickly assess your situation and arrange help from your chosen contacts, your doctor, our mobile Emergency Response Service, or emergency services.
Additional equipment is available for those with complex needs, including:
- Smoke detectors
- Fall detectors
- Door sensors
- Wellbeing checks
- Epilepsy monitors
- Medication dispensers
We tailor equipment to suit individual needs. Full details are available on the Herts Careline website.
