Support for ex-offenders offers practical help and guidance to people leaving prison, helping them to rebuild their lives and avoid homelessness.
Our Offender Services team has nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals in prisons and the community. We provide housing advice and support in 14 prisons across London and Hertfordshire, including tenancy rescue and help finding accommodation for those at risk of homelessness upon release.
- Feltham education, training and employment service: Supports young offenders in Feltham Prison to access training and work opportunities, and links with our housing advice team to help them move towards independent living.
- Accommodation for ex-offenders: We offer hostels and semi-independent housing in areas such as Hackney and Haringey, with ongoing support for recovery and resettlement.
- Date Palm project: In partnership with St Mungo's, the National Zakat Foundation, and the Better Community Business Network, we provide faith-sensitive supported housing for young male Muslim prison leavers in a large shared house.
- HARP Connect: Funded by London Councils, this service offers Housing, Advice, Resettlement, and Prevention support to ex-offenders who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. Our staff provide specialist intervention, advocacy, and housing advice, including a "through the gate" service to help people transition smoothly back into the community. We support individuals with protected characteristics, those with no recourse to public funds, and those experiencing mental health or substance use issues.
