FREE to access 8 week short courses for pregnant women and those with babies under 1 funded by Medway Council / Medway Family hubs
At a Singing Mamas group you will learn lovely lullabies and songs to share with your little one in a relaxed and friendly environment.
No sheets of music, no solos and no pressure. You don't need any musical ability to take part.
• Singing Mamas is a national/international non-profit making working for maternal wellbeing through singing.
• Singing is proven to help with stress levels, releases endorphins, stimulates cognitive function and helps forge connections and social bonds.
• In a recent study, 73% of women with post-natal depression recovered completely after 10 weeks of group singing.
• Our programmes are recommended by GPs, Midwives, Health Visitors and thousands of mums across the UK.
EIGHT free courses over the next 12 months, 8 weeks per course, up to 20 women per course. Women bring their babies with them.
Course Dates are as follows:
• Strood Family Hub: Tuesdays: 1.00 – 2.30 pm 1st October – 26th November (no session 22nd October)
• Strood Family Hub: Tuesdays: 1.00 – 2.30 pm 21st January – 18th March (no session 18th February)

A safe and welcoming space to connect with women in your community, to sing for fun, to improve your well-being and mental health and to have time to focus on you.

Our approach uses the NHS 5 ways to wellbeing which means that participating women:
• Feel more connected to each other and their baby (if they have one)
• Improve breathing, posture and muscle tension and physical
wellbeing.
• Stimulates cognitive function through learning new songs.
• Give and receive from others and feel a sense of community.
• Pay attention to the present moment and reduce stress hormone levels.
