The Young Black Men (YBM) project from Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind (CWWMind) is dedicated to supporting young Black men aged 11–30 and their families.
We offer free group and one-to-one support designed to empower, build resilience, and address the unique challenges faced by young Black men. Our services are delivered in schools, community spaces, and places of worship, ensuring a culturally appropriate approach that meets you where you are.
- Who can access: Young Black men aged 11–30 and their families.

- Where: Coventry, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire – in schools, community venues, and places of worship.

- What we offer: Group sessions, one-to-one support, partnership work with other organisations, and culturally sensitive mental health support.
Why this project? Young Black men are overrepresented in in-patient mental health services and the criminal justice system, but underrepresented in seeking help. We aim to change this by providing accessible, relevant, and empowering support.
Contact us today to find out more or make a referral. We are here to help you build resilience, connect with others, and access the support you deserve.
The project accepts both self-referrals, parent/carer referrals and professional referrals. It also provides opportunities to work in partnership with other groups and organisations working with young Black men and their families.
