Overview of the modules:
1. Customer Service, Communication & Conflict Resolution
Brush up on your communication skills, gain an understanding of different attitudes and professionalism in volunteering. Learn about the importance of body language and how to manage conflict effectively.
2. Equality & Diversity and GDPR
Equality and diversity promotes equal opportunity for all – everyone has different needs and capabilities – not only essential information for volunteering but in life too. The GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation – module deals with the importance of handling data and how it should be stored.
3. Volunteer Know How
An in-depth look into volunteering, looking at expectations, barriers and the importance of volunteers to communities and organisations. Learn about the skills needed and how to access opportunities.
4. Disability Awareness
On this course you will build an understanding of what disability is and the difference between disability equality and disability diversity. You will get an awareness of the legislation relating to disabled people as well as learning about appropriate and inappropriate terminology.
5. Safeguarding
Define and Understand safeguarding and its use. Learn how to identify and explain the types of abuse and understand our roles and responsibilities.
6. First Aid
This interactive video workshop teaches essential first aid skills and builds confidence and willingness to help someone in an emergency using everyday objects.
