Faversham Cottage Hospital

Faversham Cottage Hospital provides rehabilitation-focused inpatient care and outpatient clinics in the heart of Faversham. Our 16-bed inpatient unit offers rehabilitation and intermediate care for patients who are transitioning from acute hospital wards or, in some cases, via GP referral.

What to expect:

  • Patients are encouraged to get up and dressed each day to support recovery. Please bring day clothes, suitable shoes, and any personal care items you may need.
  • During your stay, you can enjoy a range of activities designed to aid your recovery, progress, and well-being.
  • Our dedicated team works closely with you, your family, and carers to ensure all support is in place before discharge.
  • Family, friends, and carers are welcome to visit. Visiting hours are 2pm to 8pm, with flexibility for relatives providing care at other times. Two visitors are allowed at the bedside, with exceptions for special circumstances—please speak to the matron. Children are permitted to visit.
  • On admission, you and your family will receive detailed information about your care, and staff are always available to answer any questions.
  • We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Feedback is always welcome and can be given online.

Location & Facilities:

  • The hospital is centrally located in Faversham, close to cafes and shops for refreshments and personal care items.
  • There is no parking on site, but pay and display car parks are available in the town centre.

Other services: The hospital also hosts services not provided by Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, including a minor injuries unit run by the local GP practice.

Recent feedback from patients:

  • "Staff are very good and helpful, food lovely."
  • "Always there to answer our questions and explain their actions, so we were informed every step of the way."
  • "Very good all round. Food very good. Best hospital I've ever been in."
  • "Everybody was so helpful and friendly."

We look forward to supporting your recovery in a friendly, caring environment.
