Family Fund

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants and support to families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people.

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person with a disability or serious illness, Family Fund may be able to help you with a grant for essential items such as household appliances, computers, tablets, furniture, family breaks, and more. The charity also offers specialist grant programmes, including mobility support for children under three who would benefit from access to a car.

Who can apply?

  • Families on a low income raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person aged 0-17.
  • Eligibility criteria vary by grant programme and location (e.g. Scotland programme for families living in Scotland).

How does it work?

  • Check your eligibility and available grant programmes on the Family Fund website.
  • Apply online or by post. The website provides guidance, FAQs, and support throughout the application process.
