
Harrow Carers is an independent Charity and voluntary organisation supporting unpaid carers since 1996.
Our Mission is to support carers in Harrow to help increase carers quality of life by providing a variety of services to give support and promote health and wellbeing to carers .
What do we do :
We operate on a holistic approach when providing support to unpaid carers across the Borough. This includes providing Information and Advice, help with applying for benefits, grants or signposting to other organisations.
We provide a wide variety of health and wellbeing activities to support carers and encourage carers to have breaks from their caring role. These services range from exercise classes ,events outings to creative workshops.
We also provide free Counselling services - this gives carers the opportunity to get support. We can offer 6 free sessions .
Our Dementia Project - offers support to Carers who support someone with Dementia and we care for the person with Dementia. This service operates every Tuesday.
Our Warm Hub at Old Lyonians centre is on every Thursday 11am - 3pm, we provide a safe place for our carers to drop in and share a warm lunch together, we offer a free basic digital/IT classes from 1 - 3pm on Thursdays.
Our Home Care service can provide a professional carers service which focuses on person centred care to allow carers to have a break. This is a paid for Service
