The Continence Care Service is a nurse led service offering holistic assessment, advice, treatment and management of bladder, bowel and continence related issues. We serve adults of all ages, both male and female, within the borough who are registered to a Wolverhampton GP. This service is provided within primary care clinics, domiciliary settings, residential care and nursing homes. The Continence Care Service are based at Lower Green Health Centre. We manage a home delivery service for the provision of containment aids to clients who have been assessed and require ongoing management as part of their care. The service can only prescribe containment products (pads) that are provided by the appointed supplier that has been awarded the contract via the tendering process. The contact is currently with Ontex. All prescriptions provided are determined by evidence based clinical need.
