Cambridgeshire ACRE Village Agent Support

Village Agents from Cambridgeshire ACRE offer friendly, practical help and support for the health and social care needs of people living in rural communities across East Cambridgeshire, Fenland, and South Cambridgeshire.

Our Village Agents are here to connect residents who may be missing out on vital services, advice, or support. Whether you’re unsure where to start or don’t think you’re entitled to help, our team can guide you to the right resources and make your life easier.

  • Expertise includes: income maximisation, home energy advice, and support with getting on the Priority Services Register for utility providers.
  • Local presence: Village Agents regularly visit community groups, attend events, and work from local community hubs, making themselves known and accessible in the areas they serve.
  • Outreach and support: We help people experiencing unmet needs and encourage attendance at community hubs, where everyone receives a warm welcome. We also support the volunteers who run these hubs, helping them grow and thrive.

How to access support:

  • If you or someone you know in East Cambridgeshire, Fenland, or South Cambridgeshire needs help accessing advice or services, you can refer them to our Village Agent team using our online referral form.
  • You are welcome to self-refer by calling our Community Wellbeing Manager, Rachel Mason, on 01353 865025 for an initial chat.

Confidentiality: Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Village Agent Service Privacy Notice for details on how we handle your personal data.

Cost: This service is free to residents of East Cambridgeshire, Fenland, and South Cambridgeshire.

Get involved: If you’re interested in volunteering or supporting our work, please contact us for more information.
