Get free, reliable energy support to help you save money and stay warm.
Green Energy Switch delivers the LEAP service in partnership with local councils, offering free home energy support to residents in Peterborough, South Cambridgeshire, Rutland, and Fenland. Our service is designed to help anyone who is already in, or at risk of, fuel poverty—whether you own your home, rent privately, or live in social housing.
- Free energy-saving products: Receive LED light bulbs, draught excluders, and other measures to boost your home's efficiency.
- Tariff advice: We help you find the most affordable energy tariff so you never pay more than necessary.
- Personalised energy-saving advice: Simple tips and behaviour changes to help you save money and energy every day.
- Onward referrals: If needed, we connect you to further support, including income, benefits, and debt advice from IncomeMax, help with Warm Home Discount applications, and registration for the Priority Services Register.
- Appliance Scheme: For fuel-poor and vulnerable households, we can replace old, inefficient white goods with more efficient options.
How it works:
- Check your eligibility online or by phone.
- Book a convenient appointment for a home visit.
- A trained Home Energy Advisor will visit your home, assess your needs, install energy-saving measures, and provide tailored advice.
- After the visit, you may be referred for further support, such as income maximisation, insulation and heating upgrades, or hazard identification.
All support is completely free thanks to the LEAP Scheme.
Our service has helped local residents secure discounts, access grants, and improve their homes. Arrange your free home visit today and start saving!
