The Pantry – Diamond Hampers CIC

Diamond Hampers is dedicated to fighting food poverty and supporting vulnerable individuals and families across the district. We believe that hunger doesn't take a day off, so neither do we. Our mission is to provide dignified, compassionate assistance to those in need, while reducing food waste and empowering our community.

What we offer:

  • Emergency Food Hampers: We build 20–40 food hampers each week, each containing enough meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to last a week. Hampers include fresh fruits, vegetables, refrigerated items, and cupboard essentials. Contents may vary depending on donations, but we always strive for a balanced selection.
  • Support for Care Leavers: Essential food, toiletries, kitchen items, and household goods for young people leaving care, helping them transition to independence.
  • Homeless Support: Food and supplies for rough sleepers across the district, delivered where they are needed most.
  • The Pantry: An affordable community shop offering fresh produce and essentials, helping reduce reliance on food aid and fostering independence.
  • Chatty Café: Open six days a week, providing a safe, welcoming space to enjoy hot and cold meals, connect with others, and build community.
  • Menopause Café: Empowering and supporting women through menopause with toolkits, guest speakers, and professional input.
  • The Attic – Affordable Living: A store offering affordable products to help people shop independently.
  • Coming Soon – The Toy Chest: Opening June 2025, offering affordable baby and children’s items, with proceeds funding community clubs to combat loneliness and foster connection.

Our Impact:

  • Over 530,000 meals delivered to date
  • 25 tonnes of fruit and vegetable waste redirected each month
  • Partnerships with local charities, councils, and agencies

We prioritise dignity, independence, and sustainability, helping people move from crisis to confidence. Join us in building a brighter, more equitable future for all.
