Skills Enterprise offers free, tailored employability support for Newham residents, helping you enter and sustain employment.
Our service is designed to match your needs quickly and at no cost, funded by The Pathways to Economic Opportunities programme, London Community Foundation, and JP Morgan. We specialise in supporting Black and Minoritised ethnic-led organisations and individuals in London.
What we offer:
- Personalised skills assessment to identify your strengths and career goals.
- Help overcoming barriers such as language, disability, lack of confidence, digital skills, and UK qualification recognition.
- Digital training to help you apply for jobs online and become a digital champion.
- CV preparation classes and support to create a stand-out CV.
- Job club sessions, webinars, and visits to job fairs for networking and job seeking.
- Access to mental health and debt advice, plus links to vacancies and opportunities.
- Holistic, long-term support including 1-2-1 sessions, direct employer brokerage, and collaboration with other organisations.
We are proud to have supported over 183 users since June 2022, with 140 users receiving CV support and 150 gaining digital skills for job applications. Our experienced staff are committed to helping you feel confident and ready to achieve your career goals.
