**Course Overview:**
Designed for beginners, this introduction to garment making focuses on utilizing a simple pattern to create a personal project, specifically a pair of pyjamas or casual trousers/top. Throughout the course, participants will learn essential skills, including:
- Health and safety practices in sewing.
- Understanding and working with garment patterns.
- Adjusting patterns for a better fit, including petite fit modifications.
- Sewing various pockets and elastic casings.
- Identifying and mastering basic seams and hems.
**Eligibility Requirements:**
- Age: Participants must be 19 years or older.
- Prerequisite: Completion of the Introduction to Sewing Skills course or equivalent experience using a sewing machine.
- Homework: Weekly completion of a short workbook with guidance from the tutor.
**Cost:**
- The course fee is £90. However, individuals receiving the following benefits can participate at no charge:
