Bucks Mind, Wellbeing Groups - High Wycombe

Bucks Mind's Wellbeing Service offers supportive group activities designed to help adults (18+) in Buckinghamshire who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Our groups are based around the Five Ways to Wellbeing: connect, be active, take notice, keep learning, and give.

What we offer:

  • Regular group sessions in Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, and Chalfont St Peter.
  • Activities include art, crafting, cooking, interactive games, group discussions, and occasional outings such as walking or bowling.
  • Support from experienced Wellbeing Workers and fully trained volunteers.
  • All standard materials and resources provided.

How it helps:

  • Builds confidence and independence.
  • Supports your recovery journey and helps you engage with community activities, volunteering, and paid work.
  • Emphasizes the importance of social connection and trying new things in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Accessing the service:

  • Open to adults (18+) living in Bucks with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
  • Referrals can be made by your Community Mental Health Team worker, GP, Adult Social Care, or you can self-refer.
  • Once referred, you can visit a group with your referrer to try it out and meet other service users before agreeing a start date.
  • You'll be 'Buddied' with a staff member, volunteer, or another group member to help you settle in.

Fees: The Wellbeing Service is self-funding and charges a fee. If you are referred through the Community Mental Health Team or Adult Social Care, you may be entitled to funding support. Find out more about fees here.
