Art Therapy

Malvern Community Art Therapy Studio offers a welcoming and supportive space in central Malvern for individuals seeking help through art therapy. Our studio is designed to help people during times of depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, bereavement, loss, and major life changes. We also support those exploring their identity and personal growth.

What happens in art therapy?

  • We work together to create a safe, trusting, and confident environment tailored to your needs.
  • A wide range of art materials are available, including pictures, fabrics, clays, and objects—some familiar, some new.
  • You can choose your own creative direction or receive suggestions to help you get started.
  • No artistic skill is required; the focus is on exploring feelings and making sense of difficulties together.

Our services include:

  • 1-1 weekly sessions (usually in blocks of 12 weeks). If you receive benefits, you may be eligible for subsidised therapy, and we will work around what you can afford.
  • Group Art Therapy: Small groups with shared issues, typically in blocks of 12 weekly sessions.
  • Open studio sessions: Time and space to work on your own artmaking alongside others, with support from a therapist.
  • Community projects: Creative projects for different groups.

Fees & Funding: Please contact us for details about therapy and session fees. If you are receiving benefits, we can help you apply to Arts Therapies UK for limited funding and discounted rates.

Location: Our studio is centrally located at 28-30 Belle Vue Terrace, Malvern WR14 4PZ.
