Coping Through Football is a project that supports the recovery of adults (age18+) and young people (age 12 -17) experiencing mental health issues in their lives.
The project uses football as a therapeutic activity, participants are also offered support with accessing employment, education and training opportunities.
The project provides support with accessing health services, and participants are invited to engage in the regular health & well-being workshops run from the project.
The project delivers sessions from two community sports sites.
ADULT sessions:
Redbridge: Monday & Wednesday 14:00 -16:00 Powerleague, Forest Road IG6 3HX
Waltham Forest: Tuesdays & Thursdays 14:00 -16:00 Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, 148 Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow E17 7HE
YOUTH sessions:
Redbridge: Monday 16:00 -17:30 Powerleague, Forest Road IG6 3HX
Waltham Forest: Tuesdays 16:00 -17:30 Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, 148 Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow E17 7HE
The project is open to residents of the NEFLT London Boroughs - Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering.
