Haverhill Shed is a welcoming community space where adults can come together to pursue practical interests, learn new skills, and enjoy making and mending in a friendly, social environment. Unlike solitary garden sheds, our Shed is all about building friendships, sharing knowledge, and having fun.
We offer a supportive place for men and women over 18 to connect, reduce isolation, and improve wellbeing. Our mission is to tackle loneliness and support mental health, with a special focus on inclusivity—there are no fees or sales, so everyone can join regardless of background or skill level.
What we offer:
- Regular Saturday sessions (10am–2pm) at our accessible community premises
- Opportunities to work on traditional and creative projects, including games and crafts
- A chance to make friends, share laughter, and support each other
- Outreach supported by a public health fund, serving people within 8 miles of Haverhill
We currently have over 30 members and are always looking for more people to join our friendly group. Whether you want to learn, teach, or just enjoy good company, you’ll find a warm welcome at Haverhill Shed.
Supported by: Pringle Group, Community Action Suffolk, The Centre Training Workshops, West Suffolk Community Restart Fund, and Haverhill Town Council.
