Beckton Globe Library - All Activities for Adults

At Beckton Globe Library, we offer free regular activities.  

Exercise classes require registration on the first visit. Attendance will be taken on all following visits.

Activities are suitable for adults who can attend independently.

  • Knit and Natter is open to all abilities. Bring your project or use our materials. It takes place on Mondays from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. No booking is required
  • Kundalini Yoga—This group is for people over 30 and is open to all abilities. It meets on Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m. Registration is required for the first session, and attendance is taken at each session.
  • Learn My Way - 8  lessons in using computers.  Fridays from 2.00 - 3.00 pm. Booking is required for the session.
  • Chair Yoga - Seated yoga for 30+ on Tuesday from  1.00 -2.00 pm. Registration is required at the first session and attendance at each session. 
  • Forever Young Club is a social club for those 50+. Takes place Wednesdays 10.30 - 1.00 pm. Attendance information is required at each visit.
  • Chair pilates—Open to age 35+, Wednesdays from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. Registration is required at the first session. Attendance will be taken at every session after.
  • Councillor surgery drop-in - takes place Saturdays 11.00-12.00 pm. No booking is required.
  • Walking Basketball takes place every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for 30+, Led by a trained coach. No booking is required. 
  • Friendship Club—A place for adults with autism and learning disabilities to meet independently. (It is suitable for adults able to travel independently to the club and take part independently in social actvities ) Group takes place every second Saturday of the month staring form 2pm. Registration will be required and attendance taken
