Growing Out is a therapeutic gardening programme run from Thrive’s gardens in Battersea Park for adults experiencing mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and isolation, or who are living with mental ill-health. The activities focus on gardening as a stepping stone to improving health and wellbeing, interacting with others, increasing confidence, trust and motivation, learning new skills and becoming more active in the community.
Participants attend a weekly programme for up to 12 months, with the option to complete the Level 1 City & Guilds in Practical Horticulture Skills to gain a recognised qualification.
