How the scheme works
Assured Care and Support is a vetting scheme and directory of Personal Assistants and Agencies providing Adult Social Care. It is managed by Trading Standards (working with Wokingham and West Berkshire Adult Social Care Teams), and is designed to provide assurance for people looking for care as well as organisations making referrals.
All Personal Assistants and Agencies have to undergo thorough checks including DBS, Safeguarding and Right to Work as well as complete essential training (based on the national Care Certificate). The providers are rechecked every year.
