Battersea Food Bank Programme

Battersea Community Hub is a non-profit organisation based in South West London near the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

We aim to run various community projects such as a food bank initiative where hot meals are served. Alongside our hot-meal program, we also give out bags of much-needed groceries every month to those with not enough at home.

Other initiatives include regular health and well-being seminars and workshops which focus on the 8 Laws of Health as well as an educational program in collaboration with MC Tutoring where students can get an extra two hours per week of free tuition. These sessions are on Sundays and open to children ages 8 -16 years.

Our Mission ...is to bridge the gap in our local community where everyone can live life in all its fullness.

Core Values: Love, Faith, Relationship, Compassion, Caring, Sharing

Food Bank Programme:

Once per month we distribute food to the community in Battersea on Sundays from 1pm - 3pm

The Challenge
Covid 19 has brought many challenges to individuals, families, and support groups within the Battersea area. As a result, many families no longer have the ability to access adequate nutrition.

Our Aim
At the Battersea Community Hub Foodbank project, we aim to bridge this gap by providing regular hot meals and food bags to members of the community who are under pressure to feed themselves due to issues such as redundancy, homelessness, and domestic violence.

Our Location
Hot food is distributed every month outside of Priory Hall, Prince of Wales Drive, Battersea SW8 4BL (near Battersea Cats and Dogs Home or opposite Tesco Express) in an environment that is in accordance with the Covid19 guidelines.

Our volunteers that cook our food all have a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
