The Healthy Living Project (Stay Well Stay Safe: Healthy Futures) is a vibrant health and wellbeing initiative for disabled people living in Barking and Dagenham.
Our project is designed to help you:
- Increase your physical activity through fun, accessible programmes like Multisport, Park Fit, and Fitness Buddies.
- Empower yourself with knowledge about healthy lifestyles, including healthy eating, money management, and digital skills, delivered in partnership with local colleges and e-learning providers.
- Learn to cook healthy meals on a budget with our Cookery School, and join our monthly Supper Club or host your own Come Dine With Me-style dinners.
We offer a range of activities, both structured and informal, led by our dedicated team and peer mentors. Whether you want to get active, learn new skills, or connect with others, there’s something for everyone.
Who can join?
- Disabled people of all ages living in Barking and Dagenham
- Non-disabled people can volunteer as Fitness Buddies, Health and Sports Mentors, or Digital Buddies
