St Catherine’s Hospice is your local charity in Central Lancashire, dedicated to helping patients and families affected by life-shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease, and heart failure. Our mission is to support people to enjoy the best possible quality of life, right to the end of life.
We provide specialist care both at our hospice and in people’s own homes, working closely with patients and their loved ones to help them achieve what matters most in the time they have. Our services include:
- Inpatient care at the hospice
- Caring for people at home
- Medical outpatient clinics
- Lymphoedema clinic (including for babies, children, and adolescents)
- Support for carers and families
- Bereavement and remembrance support
- Befriending service
- Compassionate Communities
Our team is caring, compassionate, and committed, working collaboratively with other organisations and the local community to meet the needs of those we serve. We also offer volunteering opportunities, fundraising events, and a community hub café, The Mill.
All our care is provided free of charge to patients and families, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. We serve the communities of Chorley, Preston, and South Ribble.
