Discover the joy of gardening and community at the Carshalton Community Food Growing Project!

Our friendly and inclusive allotment sessions are open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty of ways to get involved. Enjoy a peaceful, therapeutic environment while taking part in healthy outdoor activities and meeting new people.

  • All abilities welcome – no experience necessary.
  • Take part in a variety of tasks, from sowing seeds and weeding to watering, composting, and more.
  • Session times: Mondays & Fridays 10:30am–12:30pm (suitable for all abilities and group bookings), Saturdays 9:30am–11:30am (for more independent gardeners and those able to help with DIY repairs).
  • Enjoy fresh vegetables to take home, with surplus produce in summer donated to the Sutton Women’s Centre food bank.
  • Open in all weather except snow and Bank Holidays.
  • Accessible by bus and train, with limited parking available.

Location: Westmead Allotments, Colston Avenue, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 2PW. Look for the driveway next to 33 Colston Avenue and follow the directions to the allotment entrance.
