Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering offers a free, independent and confidential Information and Advice service for older people, their relatives, carers and friends. The service provides information on issues that affect older people, including welfare benefits, community care, leisure and health, and can help you understand what support is available and how to access it. The team aims to understand your circumstances and tailor support to your needs through an initial assessment after you get in touch. Access options include telephone advice, making an appointment to visit an office, or completing a referral form to initiate a tailored information and guidance pathway. The service is available across the RBH catchment area, with offices and contact points in Ilford (Chislehurst? Noting Ilford is the main location), Romford (Havering) and Barking (Barking & Dagenham). Opening times vary by site: Ilford (Main Office) offers telephone advice and appointments Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm; Havering (Romford) provides telephone advice, drop-in and appointments, with a similar operating window; Barking & Dagenham (Ripple Centre) operates Tuesday 9:00am–3:00pm for telephone advice and appointments (booked). To start, contact the main switchboard at 020 8220 6000 or email advice@ageukrbh.org.uk. Referral forms and local/national guides are also available through the page.
