Falls Prevention

Falls Prevention from Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering supports older people across Redbridge, Barking & Havering to reduce the risk of falls and stay independent at home. We offer strength and balance classes (face-to-face across all three boroughs including chair-based exercise, Tai Chi and Nordic Walking) and online chair-based exercise. We provide information sessions and written materials on how to improve balance and make homes safer, plus training for professionals who work with older people. We also offer home hazard assessments to identify risks in the home. If you have had a fall, or are worried about falling, you can complete our Level 1 Self-Referral Form online or print and post it to us; professionals can refer via Level 1 Referral Form for Professionals. The service is free of charge, though spaces in classes are limited. For further details, contact the team on the numbers below.
