Adult Weight Management Service - Wandsworth & Richmond

Tier 2 Adult Weight Management - Richmond & Wandsworth

Please note, the current waiting time to join a Wandsworth group is up to 6-months

Enable are working in partnership with Richmond and Wandsworth Council Public Health Team to fund the delivery of our free to access 12-week weight management service. This behavioural change programme provides clients with the education and skills to improve their confidence in making long-lasting changes.

The interactive programme runs for two hours per week for 12-weeks. The first hour is with a nutritionist, discussing different topics related to weight loss, such as:

  • Macronutrients: Carbohydrates, fats & protein
  • Dietary interventions such as intermittent fasting & portion control
  • Food shopping, understanding food labels & eating healthily on the go
  • Religious holidays
  • Eating healthily on a budget
  • Improving sleep for weight loss
  • Reducing stress for weight loss
  • SMART goal setting

The nutrition session is then followed by a one-hour exercise class. The class offers a variety of aerobic, anaerobic and chair-based exercises depending on client's ability. There will also a virtual option via Zoom available for those unable to attend the community session, offering the full service as above.

We run the programmes across Wandsworth and Richmond in localities and facilities that are accessible and near to you. The places are limited on each programme, however we will be running multiple sessions throughout the year. If the upcoming sessions below do not suit you, please select 'I would like to be considered for future programs' when signing up.
