Tees Valley Buddies is a small charity dedicated to building a welcoming community for neurodivergent people in the Tees Valley area of North East England. We offer regular social activities such as walk and talks and wellbeing sessions, all designed and led by neurodivergent volunteers who understand the lived experience of our members.
Our member-led approach ensures that every service is shaped by the voices and needs of Autistic, ADHD, Dyslexic, Dyspraxic, and otherwise neurodivergent people. We focus on creating a sense of belonging, trust, and understanding through peer support and shared experiences.
What we offer:
- Social opportunities to connect with others in a safe, supportive environment
- Peer support from volunteers with lived experience
- Wellbeing activities tailored to neurodivergent needs
- Community events and member-led initiatives
We welcome anyone who identifies as neurodivergent, regardless of diagnosis, and strive to help you live a fulfilling day-to-day life. Our services are adapted to meet the needs of our members and are delivered in various community locations across Tees Valley.
Get in touch if you need support or information about neurodivergence, or if you’d like to join our community activities. We cannot facilitate drop-in sessions at our office, so please contact us to arrange bringing along a new member.
