Get Outdoors Get Active - March Community Centre

Get Outdoors, Get Active (GOGA) is a 12 hour course that improves physical and mental wellbeing through outdoor conservation, horticulture and landscaping activities. It offers an alternative form of exercise for people who may be suffering from mental health issues, or those who need to improve their physical health but, for whatever reason, wouldn't usually feel comfortable with traditional exercise methods like going to the gym or going for a run. It also provides opportunities to learn new practical skills in horticulture, conservation and green space maintenance whilst helping improve a community space for all to use. Work at March Community Centre includes clearing outdoor space and building raised beds to create a community food garden. Potential to lead onto our Sprouting Out Course on the same site.
