ManHealth provides weekly peer support groups and accredited training for men experiencing mental and physical ill health, with a mission to prevent suicide and build healthier communities.
Our peer support groups are led by men with lived experience and offer a safe, welcoming space for men to share, learn, and connect. Sessions are held weekly across the North East of England, providing respite, empathy, and friendship for men facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and other health issues.
- Peer Support Groups: Weekly sessions in Spennymoor, Darlington, Newton Aycliffe, Chester le Street, Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool, and more. Groups are facilitated by trained men and focus on open discussion, learning, and mutual support.
- Physical Activities: Organised walking and football groups encourage social interaction and self-confidence.
- Workplace Training: Accredited workshops and short courses for businesses to raise awareness and drive change in men's health, mental health, and suicide prevention.
- Community Events: Fundraising walks, car meets, bungee jumps, and skydives to support and raise awareness for men's health.
All peer support services are free of charge and open to men in the North East. Our facilitators are trained to provide a positive, supportive environment, helping men find direction and thrive.
