ESOL courses at the WEA (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

ESOL courses will help students to feel more confident speaking and listening everyday English, with lots of practice using different situations.

They will help them get ready to move onto a City & Guilds accredited courses in the future.

Students wishing to join an ESOL course need to complete an initial assessment before they start. The initial assessment event is designed to test students’ current English skills. During initial assessment, students will work with WEA staff to agree the current level that they are working at and discuss the best course for them to develop their skills.

Service access criteria: 19+, residents of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough , need to reside in the UK or EU for the past 3 years
