Advice & Guidance and Community Food Pantry Support

Phoenix Enterprise Centre provides a FREE and INDEPENDENT advice and guidance service.

This service is available to Copeland residents who are unemployed, at risk of redundancy or benefit dependent. We have IT Outreach Centres in Cleator Moor, Whitehaven Town Centre and Millom which are free to use to support residents looking for employment or need to keep their Universal Credit account up to date, as well as accessing any training opportunities.

We offer help with:

  • CV preparation
  • Cover letters
  • Application forms
  • Interview techniques
  • Identifying training needs
  • Registration and maintenance of Universal Credit accounts

Anyone who needs support with access to computers for online form-filling is also welcome to get in touch with us.

Phoenix Enterprise Centre Food Pantry

In addition to the above, we also run the Phoenix Enterprise Food Pantry. A thrift hub set up to offer emergency food delivery to families unable to afford food supplies. This service can be accessed by those who find themselves in a financial crisis; (unemployed or not). Not only can clients access weekly food provision they can also have benefit checks done, and access financial, budgeting and debt advice to get them through their immediate crisis.
