Homeless Hostels

Whitehaven Community Trust has 2 Homeless Hostels – Lowther Street for 16 to 24 yrs and Bakewell House is a Mother & Baby Hostel. Both hostels have bedrooms, shared bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens and laundry rooms alongside support and training to assist young people into independent living. Our aim is to provide safe, secure accommodation with housing related support to vulnerable young people having varied and complex needs, the ultimate goal being for the young person to move on into permanent, stable accommodation, having the skills and knowledge for living independently and successfully managing their own tenancy.
