About Sophia:
Sophia’s movement and meditation practice brings her into deeper relationship with her physical and emotional body - it has been her primary tool to cultivate self-compassion, bodily-awareness, and deep rest, over the last 6 years.
She is committed to holding an accessible and inclusive space to practice in - one where *all* bodies feel welcome, safe, and celebrated in. Her nourishing classes encourage students to tune in, and respond, to their internal worlds, and the ways their bodies may want to move.
Sophia’s non-dogmatic approach blends mindfulness-meditation, vinyasa flow and yin postures to create contemplative, holistic sequences.
Her practices are informed by natures rhythms and cycles, letting this guide the theme, intention, or energy. She believes that through moving in synchronicity with the natural world, we can better navigate the needs of our bodies.
Sophia is passionate about the power of community care. Softening the boundary between self-and-other and self-and-environment is at the core of her teaching.
