We are social enterprise working across the UK to try to make sure that people who need care and support to live their lives can get that help in ways, times and places that suit them, with real choice of attractive local options.
We help people across the UK use their energies and talents to set up what we call ‘community enterprises' - really small businesses or groups that offer help with care or health or wellbeing to local people in their area.
Community Catalysts have lots of experience and expertise and can offer people who want to set up a new care enterprise specialist advice and guidance, so they can do this safely and well.
Community Catalysts in Cumberland
Health and social care face huge challenges across the country which is regularly in the news. Community Catalysts has been commissioned by Cumberland Council to use its expertise to help to tackle some of these challenges locally.
We run a FREE development programme to help local people to set up small enterprises and ventures that offer help at home and other care and support services for older and disabled people across the area. We also help enterprise leaders to work together in peer networks, supporting and learning from each other.
So, we can help you to set up or develop your enterprise, venture, or group, to make it safe, legal, and sustainable. We have limited resources and high standards so are only able to offer this free help to people we believe have the motivation, potential and values to do it right.
Doing it right means your enterprise or group is viable, sustainable, committed to high standards and won’t let people down. It also means the services, supports or activities you offer are safe and high quality, offering the help people need, when and how they need it in a respectful way that puts them right at the centre.
If you are interested in getting set up working for yourself, offering care and support to your local community in the Cumberland area, or if are you already operating but just want to make sure you are doing things right - then get in touch to find out more about how we can support you:
