LMWS NHS Talking Therapies offer support for common mental health problems. These might be, depression, anxiety, stress, phobia, panic, OCD or PTSD. We offer a variety of psychological therapies including workshops, group classes, one-to-one sessions, and a range of online support options.
Our treatments are available for those aged 17 and over who are registered with a Leeds GP.

LMWS Talking Therapies would be suitable for:
-Clients who consent and want to be referred
-Clients who are motivated to engage actively in therapy
-Have a common mental health problem as listed below:
• Depression
• Anxiety & Stress
• Panic Disorder
• Simple Phobia
• Health Anxiety
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
• Generalised Anxiety Disorder
• Social Phobia
• Body Dysmorphic Disorder
LMWS Talking Therapies cannot offer support where the problem for which they are seeking support is:
• Any eating disorder or disordered eating where there is a primary/significant focus on weight management or relationship with food.
• Parasomnia disorders e.g. night terrors
• Addiction e.g. gambling, alcohol/substance use
• Anger as a single issue rather than a symptom of a common mental health problem
• Any difficulties which would prevent effective engagement in structured therapy (such as learning disability, brain injury, dementia, drug & alcohol use)
• Active symptoms of a serious mental illness (symptoms need to be stable for at least 12 months with the focus for treatment being a common mental health problem)
