Arthur's Shed is a welcoming garden studio located in the beautiful grounds of Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge. We offer a variety of free wellbeing sessions designed to support your physical, emotional, and creative health. Everyone is welcome—you do not need any prior connection to the charity to join us.
Our sessions include:
- Chair Fit with Sarah: Gentle, supported exercise to improve mobility, strength, and confidence. Suitable for all abilities.
- Astronomy with Peter: Learn the basics of the night sky and universe, no prior knowledge required.
- Laughter Yoga with Sue and Muriel: Fun breathing and laughter exercises to boost mood and wellbeing. No yoga experience needed!
- Knitting & Crochet with Suzanne: All levels welcome—bring your own project or learn the basics. Materials provided.
- Still Life Drawing with Helena: Relaxed, mixed-ability art sessions. All materials provided.
- Meditation with Daksha: Guided meditation, breathing exercises, and singing bowls for deep relaxation and calm.
Key features:
- All sessions are free of charge (suggested donation £5, optional).
- Materials and equipment are provided.
- Sessions are open to all adults and are limited to 6-8 people for a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
- Wheelchair accessible and inclusive—disabled parking and toilets available, easy-read signage, and friendly volunteers.
- You may bring a friend, carer, or support worker if you wish.
