Timebank South West brings people together in Plymouth to reduce loneliness and isolation and encourages people to help one another. Members share their time, everyday life skills, interests, talents and things they love to do with one another. For every hour a member gives they receive an hour of someone else's time in return. Swaps can be friendship, advice, sharing stories, computer help, gardening, household tasks, form filling, shopping, sewing, small diy jobs, craft skills...the list goes on!
We offer weekly social sessions across the city where people come together for a cuppa, a chat and sometimes the group do things together. Timebanking believes everyone ahs something to offer to someone else. Social sessions take place in Barne Barton, Devonport, Efford, Ernesettle, Honicknowle, North Prospect, Plympton, Plymstock, Stonehouse and Whitleigh.
Membership is free and open to anyone over the age of 18. As a partner in the Age Positive project we are particularly keen to welcome people aged 65+.
