Local Mencap Barnsley is an independent charity dedicated to helping people of all ages in Barnsley with learning disabilities lead more fulfilled lives. We provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where individuals and their families can access recreation, leisure, and social activities designed to encourage achievement, inclusion, and reduce isolation.

We are governed by local people and raise all our own funds to deliver projects in Barnsley. Our passionate team includes trustees, staff, and volunteers—some with learning disabilities themselves—who are committed to making a real difference in our community.
