Crosslacon parish have a number of gatherings which are clustered under our Living Well initiative.

Get Crafty…

In partnership with Adult Learning, we offer free craft classes which take place on a Monday afternoon at St Paul’s Frizington. Themes vary but have included: Christmas Crafts, Knitting Nature, Stitching the Seasons. The sessions provide opportunities to meet with others and develop friendships, learn, practice or refresh craft skills, create a community art project that will bring joy to the community.

The Living Room

A weekly gathering at St John’s in the hall, Crossfield Road, Cleator Moor on Fridays between 2-4. This is a place where you can come and feel at home…hot drinks and good cake are served…newspapers, games, jigsaws, crafty projects are available…we have speakers attending on occasion, sharing a hobby, passion or joy…we run activities on occasion…chair aerobics, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, cooking and gardening tips, singalong sessions…we invite people to speak on welfare rights issues…Health and Wellbeing Coaches are present at each session and can support individuals to access services they may need.
