Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring

About us

We are a registered charity whose aim is to promote the independence, physical and mental well-being of older, isolated or vulnerable people living in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and the surrounding area.

We do so by providing services not normally available through statutory agencies.

Our services are delivered by a team of volunteers, keen to provide friendship and support to those who need it. Our volunteers have the opportunity of using their life skills and experiences, finding fulfilment in making a difference.

The benefits of this service can be an improved sense of well-being and reduced feelings of isolation, as well as the preservation of independence for as long as possible, this can delay or avoid the need to move into a retirement home or become institutionalised.

We offer a range of services to our clients including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Befriending and companionship
