Clube dos Brasileirinhos
Brazilian Heritage and Cultural Centre CIC | Established 2009 | Based in Brent, London
About Us:
Clube dos Brasileirinhos is a not-for-profit supplementary school and community interest company (CIC) dedicated to preserving and promoting Brazilian Portuguese language and culture among the Brazilian diaspora in the UK. Founded and led by migrant Brazilian women living and working in the London Borough of Brent, the organisation has served over 600 children and their families since 2009.
Brent hosts the largest concentration of Brazilians in the UK, with over 60% of London’s Brazilian population residing in the borough. Clube dos Brasileirinhos is the only Brazilian supplementary school in the area, uniquely positioned to engage British-Brazilian children and families at risk of cultural disconnection. We support their integration into British society while celebrating their heritage and strengthening their identity.
Our Impact:
Delivered numerous community-led projects in partnership with organisations like Young Brent Foundation (e.g. Valuing Life, Brent Goes Wild, Youth Vision) and UK Youth (Getting Active).
Built trusted relationships with local families through inclusive programming and community consultations.
Promoted intercultural dialogue and strengthened community cohesion by sharing Brazilian cultural heritage with the wider Brent community.
Our Vision:
To empower British-Brazilian children and families through cultural education, language preservation, and community connection—fostering pride, identity, and belonging across generations.
What We Do:
Portuguese as a Heritage Language (PHL): Language classes for children aged 3 to 17, including GCSE preparation.
